Der Schal „Die Frau aus verschiedenen Perspektiven“, kuratiert von der drei Künstler*innen Yara Wehbi, Oroubah Dieb und Kifan Alkarjousli/PAKD Gallery, die davon überzeugt sind, dass jede Darstellung von Frau in der Kunst von Natur aus vielfältig, nuanciert und aus einer Vielzahl von Blickwinkeln zu verstehen ist. Die in der Ausstellung vertretenen Künstler*innen stammen aus arabischen und europäischen Ländern und engagieren sich dafür, Raum für eine breite Palette neuer Ideen und Interpretationen zu schaffen. Schal präsentiert Werke und Bilder von Frauen, die ihre individuellen und gemeinsamen Kämpfe, ihr Innenleben, ihr Berufsleben, ihre Stärke, Schönheit, Verletzlichkeit und Kultur reflektieren.
Wir sind der Überzeugung, dass die kulturellen Hintergründe der Künstler*innen eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Gestaltung ihrer Sicht auf Frauen spielen. So diese Auswahl an Kunstwerken zeigt unterschiedliche Ausdrucksformen von Weiblichkeit visuell über viele geopolitische und soziale Kontexte hinweg. Das Ergebnis beleuchtet die Vielfalt ihrer Erfahrungen, Lebensgeschichten und künstlerischen Praktiken.
Obwohl nicht auf eine einzige Perspektive von Weiblichkeit beschränkt, wurde die Ausstellung sorgfältig kuratiert, um traditionelle Medien und Darstellungen von Frauen nicht auszuschließen. Gleichzeitig fördert die Gesamtheit der Ausstellung jedoch einen zeitgenössischen und innovativen Diskurs, der diese Bemühungen im Kontext globaler Vielfalt, Bedeutung und des Strebens nach Fortschritt positioniert. Dabei liegt der Kernwert dieses Projekts in der Unterstützung, mit dem Ziel, eine Plattform für künstlerische Vielfalt zu schaffen, die sowohl traditionelle als auch zeitgenössische Ansichten vereint und gemeinsam ein umfassendes und respektvolles Bild von Frauen in der Kunst präsentiert.

Schal “The Woman from Different Perspectives”, curated by Yara Wehbi, Oroubah Dieb, and PAKD's Kifan Alkarjousli underscores their shared conviction that any representation of womanhood in art is inherently varied, nuanced, and understood from a multitude of angles. The artists in the exhibition are representative of Arab and European countries who are invested in creating a space for a broad range of new ideas and interpretations. Schal presents works and images of women reflecting their individual and shared struggles, inner life, professional life, strength, beauty, vulnerability, and culture.
Foregrounding the artists’ cultural backgrounds, this selection of artwork delineates varied expressions of womanhood visually across many geopolitical and social contexts. The result illuminates their diversity of experience, life stories, and art practices.
While not limited to any one single perspective of womanhood, the show has been carefully curated to not exclude traditional mediums and traditional representations of women. Simultaneously however, the cumulative effect of the exhibition promotes a contemporary and innovative discourse positioning these efforts within the context of global diversity, significance and the effort toward advancement. In doing so, the core value of this project is one of support, aiming to generate a platform for artistic diversity that brings together both traditional and contemporary views that collectively present a comprehensive and respectful image of women in art.
